Wynelle Minshew

Wynelle Minshew, 87 years young of Albany, GA., died Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at Langdale Hospice House in Valdosta. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday February 17, 2018 at 11:00 am at Lakeside Baptist Church. Rev. Ken Chancellor and Dr. Charlie Bridges will officiate. Interment will follow at Floral Memory Gardens. A native of Cordele, GA., Mrs. Minshew had resided in Albany since 1955. She was employed with AT&T where she worked as a phone operator. Wynelle loved her husband Don of sixty seven years, her family, her church and her friends. Working in the yard was one of her passions as well as cooking and caring for others. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers, Lakeside Baptist Church and active in the Pete Woods Sunday school Class. Wynelle was preceded in death by a daughter, Vicki Minshew Snow. Survivors include her husband, Don Minshew, of Albany, GA, her children, David Minshew and his wife, Yvonne of Valdosta, GA, Donna Hall and her fiancé’, Paul Butler of Marietta, GA, Nancy Smith and her husband Tom of Birmingham, AL, and Gary Minshew and his wife, Sheryl of Cookeville, TN, eleven grandchildren and twenty four great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
