Witcher (Will) Wilson

Witcher (Will) Wilson, 76, of Albany, GA died Monday, July 9, 2018 at Willson Hospice House. Graveside funeral services will be conducted Saturday, July 14, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at Tifton Memorial Gardens, Tifton, GA. Pastor Mike Keown will officiate. Military honors will follow. Born in Muskogee, OK, Mr. Wilson had resided in Albany, GA since 1960 and moved to Thomas Co., GA and returned to Albany, GA in 1995. He was retired from Consolidated Freightways and worked with Willie D. Pierce and Oxford Construction before full retirement. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the Airforce and was a member of The American Legion Post # 30. He was of the Baptist faith and was preceded in death by his parents, Witcher Tate Wilson and Alice Crawford Wilson and a granddaughter, Abigail Wilson. Survivors include his wife, Brenda Wilson, Albany, GA, a son, W. Tate Wilson (Tina), Macon, GA, a daughter, Renee Metts (Carter), Tampa, FL, a sister, Adgy McIntosh, Kansas City, MO and four grandchildren, Savannah Metts, Ian Wilson, Mason Metts and Maverick Metts. The family will receive friends Friday, July 13, 2018 from 7:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. at Mathews Funeral Home.
