WiloDene Giddens Moye

WiloDene Giddens Moye, 77, of Albany, GA, died August 23. 2014 at her residence. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Leesburg, GA. Rev. Tom Pollock, Dr. Ron Baxley and Dr. Todd Sullens will officiate. Interment will follow in the Leesburg Cemetery.

A native of Eastman, GA, born to W.C and Lilla Mae Giddens, Mrs. Moye graduated from Dodge County High School and Eastman School of Business. She and her husband moved to Leesburg, GA in 1960 where she served as the pastor's wife at the First Baptist Church of Leesburg for ten years. In 1970 she moved to Albany, GA with her husband to serve as the pastor's wife of Sunnyside Baptist Church and served in that capacity until their retirement.

Mrs. Moye was formerly employed as a teacher at Mamie Brosnan Elementary School and was a florist with Pace Florist. Even after her retirement, flowers were her passion and her yard reflected it. She was currently a member of Westview Baptist Church and the Ladies Sunday School Class.

Survivors include her husband, Rev. Bobby Moye of Albany, GA, her sons, Gary Moye, Chris Moye and Jeff Moye and his wife, Joyce and her grandsons, Joseph Moye and Jake C. Moye all of Lee County, GA. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Justin Moye, a sister, Wynelle Peacock and a brother, Doyle Giddens.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service at the First Baptist Church of Leesburg.
