Willis Edward Kitchens

Willis Edward Kitchens, 78, of Albany, GA, died Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at his daughter's residence in Leesburg, GA. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, June 23, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Byne Memorial Baptist Church. His grandson, Matthew Tanner will officiate. Interment will follow at Leesburg City Cemetery.

Mr. Kitchens was born and lived most of his life in Albany, GA. He was a retired Claims Adjuster with Foremost Insurance Company, an Army Veteran and a member of American Legion Post #30. Mr. Kitchens was a member of Byne Memorial Baptist Church and a member of the A & P Sunday School Class. He was an avid square dancer, a member of the Rafter Rockers and Wheel Arounds clubs. Mr. Kitchens was a graduate of Americus High School and the University of Georgia.

Survivors include his daughter, Donna Pinson (Hal) of Leesburg, GA; two sons, Jeff Kitchens of Suwannee GA and Keith Kitchens (Jennifer) of Alpharetta, GA; mother of his children, JoAnn Kitchens of Albany, GA; ten grandchildren, Scott Tanner, Jr., Jennifer Mitchell, Laura Mitchell, Matthew Tanner, Lacy Pinson, Kaitlin Kitchens, Kyle Kitchens, Emily Kitchens, Walker Pinson and Allison Kitchens.

The family will receive friends at 10:00 AM until funeral time Saturday at Byne Memorial Baptist Church.

The family will be at the residence of Hal and Donna Pinson, 122 Highland Court, Leesburg, GA 31763.
