William Randall (Randy) Barnes, 55, of Albany, GA., passed away Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at Phoebe North from complications due to COVID-19. A private graveside will be held at the City Cemetery in Sale City, GA., at a later date. Pastor David Blackwell will officiate.
Born in Panama City, FL., Randy lived in Albany for the past fifty four years. His first job was working for Mr. Graham at Piggly Wiggly in East Albany. Randy began working at UPS at the age of 18 and has been with them for over thirty three years and was a Circle of Honor driver.
Randy leaves behind an extensive group of close friends. He will forever be remembered for his wit, humor, beautiful smile, giant hugs and his sincere love of life and friendships. Randy’s favorite pastime was going on vacation… not to get away, but to be with the friends and family that he so dearly loved. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ross and Janie Barnes and a brother Joey Barnes.
Survivors include a sister Debra Allen (Floyd) of Parrott, GA., two brothers John Barnes (Lois) of Kankakee, Il., and Richard Barnes of Phenix City, AL., his nieces and nephews, Jennifer Craft (Brandon and great nephew Flint), Jansen Barnes (Bekah and great niece Emma), Hannah Barnes, Sky Barnes (Alex), Dylan Barnes, Carolyn Barnes, Kayla Barnes, Madison Barnes, Karsyn Barnes and Emily Barnes, he is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and his extended family the Dukes and Brocks.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
