William O. (Bill) Sprayberry

William O. (Bill) Sprayberry, 88, of Albany, GA, died June 6, 2014 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held Monday at 2:00 PM at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Billy D. Hanna will officiate. Interment will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery with Masonic Rites.

A native of Morrow, GA, Mr. Sprayberry was born to Odis Samuel and Nellie Beatrice Sprayberry on October 25, 1925. He had resided in Albany, GA since 1965 coming from Savannah, GA. He was employed with the State of Georgia for thirty plus years and retired as Chief of The Game and Fish Division of the Department of Natural Resources. Mr. Sprayberry was a member of Morningside Baptist Church and Triangle Lodge # 708 F & AM. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Ellen Sprayberry.

Survivors include his three brothers-in-law, Tracy Holland, Thomas Holland and Howard Holland all of Lilburn, GA , a niece, Brenda Argyle of Stuart, FL, a nephew, Bobby McLarty of Jupiter, FL, several cousins, a caregiver and friend, Carol Overton of Sylvester, GA, and numerous close friends whom he considered family.

The family will receive friends one hour before the funeral at Mathews Funeral Home.
