William Arthur Shipley

William Arthur Shipley, 61, of Worth Co., GA, died Sunday, January 26, 2014 at his residence. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, January 30, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Sherwood Baptist Church. Rev. Stephen Kendrick and Mr. Ross Powell will officiate. Interment will follow in Floral Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Mr. Shipley was born in Buffalo, NY and had lived in Albany, GA since childhood before moving to Worth Co., GA two years ago. He was employed with J.L. Malone and Associates and had been active with the American Red Cross as a volunteer, Ham Radio Club and he was a member of the Disciple Makers Sunday School Class and Sherwood Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy Denham Shipley, two step-sons, John Powell and Robert Powell all of Worth Co., GA, a step-daughter, Candace Powell, Dougherty Co., GA and two step-granddaughters, Annabelle Porter and Willow Porter, mother and father-in-law, Bobby and Carol Denham, Lee Co., GA, sister-in-law and her husband, Barbara Lott and Marvin Lott, Worth Co., GA, brother-in-law and his wife, Edward Denham and Jennifer Denham, Lee Co., GA, Sister-in-law, April Denham, Lee Co., GA and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Thursday at Sherwood Baptist Church from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
