William Walter (Buddy) Roberts

William Walter (Buddy) Roberts, 65, of Newton, GA died Tuesday, October 11, 2011 from injuries sustained in an auto accident. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00 AM at Mathews Funeral Home. Dr. Ronald R. Baxley will officiate. Interment will follow in Union Baptist Church Cemetery in Colquitt, GA.

A native of Early County, GA, Mr. Roberts had resided in Baker County, GA most of his life. He was retired from Jarrett Brothers Construction Company and was an avid fisherman and hunter.

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn C. Roberts, a son, Walter Shawn Roberts of Albany, GA, two daughters, Barbara Ann Roberts of Albany, GA and Melissa Jarrett and her husband, Anthony of Lee County, GA, his father, J.G. Roberts of Bainbridge, GA, a sister, Patsy Ann Floyd and her husband, William Eddie of Miami, FL, three brothers, John Gordon Roberts, Jr., Thomas Roberts and his wife, Ruby, and Randy Roberts, all of Bainbridge, GA and five grandchildren, Skyler Roberts, Summer Roberts, Chassity Mize, T.J. Jarrett and Anzley Jarrett.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Mathews Funeral Home.
