William Curtis Lamp, 71, passed on Friday, January 5, 2018 at Willson Hospice House. Funeral Services will be at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1508 Whispering Pines Road, Albany, GA, on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Leesburg Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Pastor Doug Hudson will be officiating. Born in Palo Alto, California to Dr. Jacob Curtis Lamp and Anna Elizabeth Fisher Lamp, Bill grew up in Haverford, PA and graduated from The Haverford School. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina and a graduate degree in Forestry from the University of Georgia. He was a longtime active member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Albany. He retired from the Georgia Forestry Commission, enjoyed photography and numerous outdoor activities. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Lesa, and sister, Elizabeth (Beth) Lamp. Survivors include his children Stephen (Charity) Lamp of Anchorage, AK, David Lamp of Albany, GA, Amber Lamp of Columbus, GA, a granddaughter, Ariel Lamp, and a brother, Robert (Bob) Lamp of Falls Church, VA. Memorials may be made in memory of William Lamp to Trinity Lutheran Church, Albany Rescue Mission, and Liberty House of Albany.
