William Wallace "Will" Kidd, 74, of Baker Co., GA, died Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at Willson Hospice House. Graveside funeral services will be conducted Friday, June 19, 2015 at 4:00 p.m. at Milford Baptist Church Cemetery with military honors. Rev. William Collins will officiate.
Born in Savannah, Georgia, May 9, 1941 to the late Louis O. Kidd and Cordelia Griffin Kidd. He earned his Eagle Scout at an early age and graduated from Thomasville High School. He continued his education at the University of Georgia. While there he served as Treasurer of Kappa Alpha Order Gamma Chapter and was a member of the Hardemann Court of Honor Kappa Alpha Order, Gamma Chapter. He served in the United States Army from 1963 - 1965 achieving the rank of Captain.
He began his professional career with Mauldin & Jenkins, CPA's in 1965 in Albany. During the next thirty years he represented his firm in Albany and Macon. After serving as Managing Partner, he retired in 1994. Upon retiring from Mauldin & Jenkins he served as a Trustee, Advisor and Executor until 2014.
Will was a member of the American Institute of CPA's, Georgia Society of CPA's and President of the Education Foundation for the Georgia Society of CPA's. He also served as President of Associated Accounting Firms International.
He was a charter member of the Dougherty County Rotary Club, Macon Civic Club and former Chairman of the Albany Dougherty County Economic Development Commission. In addition, he was an honored member of the Sportsman's Club of Baker County, a member of the Baker County Sons of Confederate Veterans, American Legion Post # 30 and a member of Porterfield United Methodist Church in Albany.
Above all else, he was a beloved son, husband, father, grandfather (Bo) and friend.
Survivors include his wife of forty eight years, Judy Kidd, Baker Co., GA, a son, Collier Kidd and his wife Jenna, Albany, GA, two daughters, Jennifer Trapnell and her husband, Jeffrey, Atlanta, GA, Allison Cross and her husband Patrick, Chattanooga, TN, a sister, Ila Tribble, Anderson, SC, seven grandsons, Henry Trapnell, Turner Trapnell, Wallace Trapnell, William Cross, Tristan Cross, Jasper Kidd, Griffin Kidd and a number of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 5:30 until 7:30 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home.
