William Bobby Ethredge

William Bobby Ethredge, 79, of Lee County, GA died December 19, 2014 at Phoebe Putney Memorials Hospital.

Bobby was born September 2, 1935 and raised in Baker County. GA and graduated from Albany High School. He was general manager with the Marriott Hotels for many years and later he owned/operated convenience stores in California. The hospitality industry suited him well as he never met a stranger and enjoyed the opportunity it afforded him to live from coast to coast.

He retired to Las Vegas, NV and later returned home to Albany, GA. He enjoyed gardening and we enjoyed his beautiful flowers and rich tomato crop each year. He remained an avid fan and loyal to his Atlanta Braves and Falcon teams no matter where his travels took him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Marvin Ethredge and Erma Phillips Brooks

He keaves four children and seven grandchildren to remember him. He is survived by his sons, Michael Wade Ethredge and his wife Karen, Atlanta, GA, David Bret Ethredge and his wife Tomoyo, Kobe, Japan, his daughters are Christine Frances Coonrad and her husband Ray, Troy, NY and Angela Erin Evans, Troy, NY, granddaughters are Alexis Ethredge, NC, Amber Ethredge and Brooke Ethredge both of Demorest, GA, Reyna Ethredge, Kobe, Japan, grandsons, Michael Coonrad and Daniel Coonrad both of Troy, NY, Quinton Charlton, Troy, NY, a niece, Connie Gaskins and her husband Billy, Sasser, GA.
