William Mackendree Collins, Sr

William Mackendree Collins, Sr., 67, of Albany, GA, died Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 10:00 AM at Northgate Presbyterian Church. Rev. Richard O. Smith, Jr. will officiate. Private Interment will be held Monday at Andersonville National Cemetery.

A native of Columbia, SC, Mr. Collins had resided in Albany since 1986 moving from Columbia, SC. He was a warehouse manager with Georgia Crown Distributors, a member of Northgate Presbyterian Church and was an Army Veteran serving during the Vietnam Conflict.

Survivors include his wife, Susan Collins of Albany, GA, a son William Mackendree Collins, Jr. and his wife, Jennifer of Albany, GA, a daughter, Jennifer Troi Tucker and her husband, Phil of VA, two step-sons, Craig Michael Hall and his wife, Elizabeth of VA and Christopher Marshall Hall of Valdosta, GA, two sisters, Mary Boland and Dorothy Nimmons both of Columbia, SC, two brother, Keith Collins and his wife Jenny of Florence, SC and Thomas Collins and his wife Pat of Columbia, SC, three grandchildren, Leah Renee Spivey Sifford, Robert Mackendree Collins and Maxwell Jordan Collins, two great-grandchildren, Kayden Sifford and Riley Sifford.

The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Mathews Funeral Home.
