William H. Carswell, 66, of Albany, GA., died Saturday, February 08, 2014, at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:00 PM at Calvary Baptist Church. Rev. Chip Gresham will officiate. Interment will follow in Leesburg Cemetery.
William was a native and lifelong resident of Albany, GA. He graduated from Albany High School in 1965, joined the United States Air Force and served with distinction, receiving decoration during the Vietnam War. William was the co-owner of Albany Custom Signs for over thirty five years and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He was beloved by all that knew him.
Survivors include his wife, Michele Topshe Carswell of Albany, GA, his son and his wife, William Joseph and America Carswell of Phenix City, AL, his daughter, Camille Carswell of Albany, GA, two sisters, Barbara Webb and her husband, Roger of Lee County, GA and Linda C. Bridges of Albany, GA, a brother, James L. Carswell of Albany, GA and a sister-in-law, Beverly Carswell of Lee County, GA.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Mathews Funeral Home.
