William "Billy" Calvin Holloway

William "Billy" Calvin Holloway, 63, passed away on June 27, 2023, at Phoebe Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 5, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Albany Baptist Church. Interment to follow in Bay Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Arabi, GA.  Dr. J. Eron White will officiate.

Billy was born on February 17, 1960, to Charles and Willa Holloway in Cordele, GA and raised in Arabi, GA.  Billy graduated from Crisp County High School and South Georgia Technical College in Americus, GA. He met his future wife, Doris Abanathy and they married in 1985.  They moved to Worth county in 1995.

Throughout his career, Billy served as the I.T. specialist for the Citizens Bank of Americus. He was a talented Musician, Vocalist and devoted member of The Albany Baptist Church where he taught the Boy’s Sunday school for many years.  He was also an avid lover of the outdoors, he especially enjoyed fishing and camping.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Doris Abanathy Holloway of Sylvester and his son, William Holloway both of Sylvester, GA, his siblings, Douglas (Mary) Holloway of Rome, GA and Cynthia (Keith) Marcum from Sharpsburg, GA.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm Wednesday before the service at Albany Baptist Church.
