William "Bill" Phillips

William Franklin “Bill” Phillips, 76, of Lee County, GA, died December 11, 2024 at his residence. Graveside funeral services will be held Sunday, December 15, 2024 at 2:00 pm at Brooksville Cemetery in Brooksville, GA. Rev. Doug Hall will officiate. 

Bill was born in Cuthbert, GA on December 16, 1947 to James and Syble Phillips. After High School, he went to work for Burgin Lumber Company for many years as a Millwright before moving to Lee County, GA in 1984. Bill continued his career at Walker Lumber Company until his retirement.

He loved fishing, especially at Pataula Creek, he liked his daily trips to Salt lick and cutting his grass. Bill also liked visiting and shooting the breeze with family and friends watching boxing, football and baseball. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of fifty three years, Linda Elaine House Phillips and siblings, Margaret Phillips, Sondra Taylor and James Elliott Phillips. 

Survivors include his children, Troy (Julie) Phillips of Leesburg, GA and Mandy (Rodney Hope) Elmore of Mitchell County, GA, his siblings, Milton (Zena) Phillips of Albany, GA and Amorette Jean Isom of Adrian, MI and his grandchildren Reed Phillips, Bree Phillips and Hanna Elmore.
