Whitney Blake Strickland, 33, of Leesburg, GA died Friday, February 24, 2017. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Steve Eidson will officiate. Interment will follow in Floral Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Born in Albany, GA, Whitney was a life-long resident of Albany, GA and Lee Co., GA. She was graduate of Albany High School and was employed with ERA Realty. She was of the Christian faith.

Survivors include her mother and Dad, Dorothy W. Knight and Jimmy Knight, Whitesburg, GA, her father, Doug Strickland, Americus, GA, a sister, Kelly Mellen (Mickey), Marietta, GA, two brothers, Charlie Knight (Liz), Leesburg, GA, Austin Strickland, West Blocton, AL, grand-parents, Jimmy Strickland, Albany, GA, Joyce Knight, New Harmony, IN, aunts and uncles, Keith Strickland (Susan), Richard Strickland and Holly Strickland all of Albany, GA, Barbara Hall (Dennis), Carrollton, GA, Karen Morey (Jeff), Moultrie, GA and Nancy Davis of Leesburg, GA and nieces and nephews, Macey Mellen, Mariana Mellen, Jackson Knight, Allison Knight and Alexander Knight. She was preceded in death by grandparents, Frank Weid and Sarah Wied, Leesburg, GA, grand-mother, Peggy Strickland, Albany, GA and an aunt, Clara Weid, Leesburg, GA.
