Wayne Rudolph Shiver, 85, of Albany, died September 25, 2020 at Evergreen Assisted Living Center. A private family service will be held at a later date.
Mr. Shiver was born on October 25, 1934 in Sylvester, GA to the late Wesley and Annie Green Shiver. He served in the Army and the Navy in his early years. He was a skilled tradesman working as an Auto Master Mechanic for Pritchett Ford in Albany until he retired in 1995. Mr. Shiver loved spending time with his wife and working in his yard after retirement. He was known for treating everyone with kindness no matter their position and was quick to crack a joke.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Shiver was preceded in death by his brothers, Don Shiver of Albany, GA, Warren Shiver of Atlanta, GA and Raymond Shiver of Raleigh, NC, and an infant daughter, Kimberly Kay Shiver. Survivors include his beloved wife, Delores Weathersby Shiver, daughter, Deborah Pekary (Christopher) of Collierville, TN and his son, Joseph Shiver of Adel, GA and grandchildren, Benjamin Pekary and Connor Pekary, both of Collierville, TN.
