Wayne L. Davenport

Wayne Lamar Davenport, of Albany, died Thursday, October 20, 2016 at his residence.

His memorial service will be 4 PM on Sunday, October 23, 2016 at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Bobby Moye and Mr. Ross Powell will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service.

Born in Dayton, OH, Mr. Davenport had worked with Sherwood Baptist Church for a number of years. He attended Westover High School, loved music and was a western buff. He was preceded in death by his parents Herschel and Jannie Faye Davenport.

Survivors include his sister, Eydie McDaniel (Rick), Albany; brothers, Richard Davenport (Sandra), Lee County, Herschel Davenport, Jr. Albany, Robert Davenport (Marsha), Worth County, Wesley Davenport (Pam), Albany, Joey Davenport (Andrea), Lee County, Michael Davenport, Albany and a host of nieces and nephews.
