Warren David Brookins

Warren David Brookins, Sr., 60, of Albany, GA, died Wednesday, January 2, 2013, at his home. Graveside services will be held Saturday, January 5, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Fort Gaines, GA. Rev. Jimmy Wease will officiate

Mr. Brookins, a native of Fort Gaines, was a truck driver who loved to work. He was employed with Firestone and owned his own trucking company. Mr. Brookins was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Evelyn Brookins.

He is survived by his wife, Dianne Brookins of Albany, two sons, Timothy Brookins and his wife Vera and David Brookins and his wife Evelyn all of Skipperville, AL, two step-daughters, Michelle Moody and her husband David of Albany, and Susan Ruckman and her husband Mike of Americus, GA, two grandchildren, Ben and Holly Brookins, six step-grandchildren, Chasity Moody Oleson, Allison Moody, Brandon and Jordan Carter, and Jaylynne and Makayla Ruckman, one brother, Ben Brookins of Richland, GA, three sisters, Faye Collins of Arlington, GA, Regina Seaborn and her husband Joey of Eufaula, AL, Bobbie Jean Norris and her husband Stan of Blacksburg, VA, and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Friday, January 4, 2013, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home
