Wanda Kay Turner

Wanda Kay Turner, 60, of Lee County, GA, died January 31, 2013 at her residence. A visitation will be held Sunday, February 3, 2013 at Mathews Funeral Home from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. A funeral service will be held Wednesday February 6, 2013 at 1:00 PM at Hollomon-Brown Bayside Chapel in Virginia Beach, VA. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens

A native of Norfolk, VA, Mrs. Turner graduated from Lake Taylor High School in 1970 and attended Old Dominion University. She had resided in Lee County, GA for the past eighteen years moving from Virginia Beach, VA. Mrs. Turner was an information technologist and retired from the Marine Corps Logistic Base in 2009.

Survivors include her husband, Richard B. Turner of Lee County, GA, two sons, Tim (Shannon Simpson) Turner and Daniel (Sandra) Turner all of Albany, GA, her mother, Elsie Mae Wynne of Virginia Beach, VA, two grandchildren, Daniel W. Turner, Jr. and Heaven Leanne Turner both of Albany, GA and a sister, Sandra Brandt of Virginia Beach, VA. She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Harold Wynne.
