Wanda Kaye Phillips

Wanda Kaye Staines Phillips, 63, of Sylvester, GA passed away, Thursday, March 31, 2022 at her residence. Funeral services will be held Monday, April 4, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Marion Sizemore will officiate.

Born in Moultrie, GA, Mrs. Phillips had resided in Sylvester, GA all of her adult life. She was employed with Walmart Corporation until her illness and was with the Walmart on Cordele Rd. in Albany, GA. She loved her job and looked forward to returning to work. She loved the Alabama Crimson Tide. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jim Henry Staines and Winnie Staines, sister, Renee Staines and brothers, Jimmy Staines, Wallace Staines and Mackey Staines.

Survivors include her husband, Kenny Phillips, Sylvester, GA, children, Brandi Phillips (Kevin Futch), Sylvester, GA, Rocky Phillips (Carol Phillips), Baconton, GA and grandchildren, Jacob Hutcheson, Tony Phillips, Emerald Day, Trent Day and Stewart Phillips, sisters, Leona Pickle and Barbara Staines, both of Albany, GA.

The family will receive friends Monday, April 4, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
