Wanda S. Boyd Johnson

Wanda Strenth Boyd (Johnson) age 83 passed away Monday, August 7, 2017 at her daughter’s home in Danielsville, Ga. Mrs. Boyd was a longtime resident of Albany who operated an in-home daycare for many years. She was a former member of Beacon Baptist Church and a member of Red Oak Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late Jim and Hattie Mae Strenth of Worth County, Ga. She was preceded in death by her husband Almon (Al) F. Johnson of forty two years. Also, second husband James Boyd and four brothers. Survived by her daughter Joyce Savage of Danielsville, Ga., son David Johnson and wife Melinda of Brooks, Ga. Also, Kathleen Fiveash a very special friend for over sixty three years, several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm on Friday, August 11, 2017 at Mathews Funeral Home, Albany, Ga. with service to follow at 3:00 pm in the chapel. Interment will be at Floral Memory Gardens, Albany, Ga. Tom Crook will officiate, nephews will serve as pallbearers.
