Wanda Darlene Scott Olesiak

Wanda Darlene Scott Olesiak, 72, of Albany, GA died Saturday, July 11, 2020 at her home.

Born April 20, 1948 to Robby Jo Scott and Hubert F. Scott, Sr. of Albany, GA, Darlene loved life itself and all people. She was always making us laugh! Family was number one with her. You always knew where you stood with her and she always told you what she thought whether you wanted to know or not.

As a mother, she always protected her kids and was always there to listen and love them. Oh, how she loved cats, dogs, and all animals.

She enjoyed Casinos. She could sit for hours playing slot machines. Darlene loved working with her hands and could fix anything. She enjoyed sewing and crafts.

She was a hard-working lady and worked for several restaurants as a waitress where her love people would shine. She had a sewing business in Benton, AR for a few years and also one in Albany, GA. She worked in a floral department and restaurants in Albany, also. She was a very strong woman, a great person to have known and have in our lives.

Darlene found the love of her life, Dennis right here in Albany. They were a perfect match for each other. A match made in heaven. The happiest part of her life was lived with him. She finally found her best friend for life.

Survivors include her husband of 19 years, Dennis Olesiak, one son, Darrell Brazil and wife Janet of Benton, AR, one daughter, Michelle Patterson of Albany, GA, two brothers, Hubert F. Scott, Jr. “Bubba” and his wife Judy, and Tony Scott all of Albany, GA, half-sister, Donna Scott McRee and husband Cleve, Dawson, GA, four grandchildren, Brandon Brazil, Danielle Brazil, Ariel Patterson, and Brad Treadaway.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made in her memory to the Georgia Mental Health Consumer Network (GMHCN.ORG, GNHCN, 1990 Lakeside Parkway Ste. 100, Tucker, GA 30086) where her daughter, Angela Michele, works and lives a life of recovery and wellness.
