Walter Kenneth Usher

Walter Kenneth Usher, 76, of Albany died Sunday, January 28, 2018 at his home. His funeral service will be 11 AM Wednesday at Calvary Baptist Church with interment in Crown Hill Cemetery. Rev. Gerry Dorre’ and Pastor Eddie Usher will officiate.

A native of Union, SC Mr. Usher had lived in Albany for the past fifty three years moving from Lancaster, SC. He was a veteran of the U. S Army, retired from Industry Insulation after 30 years and an active member of Calvary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by a sister Louise Casey.

Survivors include his wife, Rosemary Usher, Albany; daughters, Tonya Phillips (Dewey), Albany, Teresa Sirmons (Johnny), Albany; grandchildren, Britnie Carter (Justin), Mardi McConnell (fiancé Mike Newton), Cole McConnell (fiancé Katelyn Kimbell), Donnie Lane; sisters Carol Sowell (John Lee), Marshville, NC, Betty Cox, Sissy Whitley (Zeb), Cathy Fant all of Lancaster, SC; brother, Eddie Usher (Julie), Lancaster, SC, nine great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
