Walter Ray Mock, 63, of Albany, GA, died April 13, 2012 at Willson Hospice House. Graveside funeral services will be held Monday at 11:00 AM at Crown Hill Cemetery. Rev. Joey Cannon will officiate.
A native of Donalsonville, GA, Mr. Mock had lived in Albany, GA most of his life. He was a graduate of Albany High School and Valdosta State College. He served in The United States Air Force in the 6990th Security Squadron as a Korean linguist and was a Regional Supervisor with the Department of Family and Children Services for 30 years. Mr. Mock was a member of Raleigh White Baptist Church and had attended Gillionville Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Carole M. Mock of Decatur, GA, a son, Quinton H. Mock and his wife, Jessica of Newnan, GA, a daughter, Shannon J. Mock of Albany, GA, a grandson, Lofton Mock of Newnan, GA, his father, John L. Mock of Albany, GA, a brother and his wife, Hiram and Janet Mock of Albany, GA and a sister and her husband, Darlene and Tim Wallace of Lee County, GA.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm until 5:00 PM Sunday at Mathews Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that those desiring make contributions to Willson Hospice House, 320 Foundation Lane, Albany, GA, 31707.
