W. Jerry Jenkins

W. Jerry Jenkins, 74, of Albany, GA, died December 17, 2018 at his residence. Funeral services will be Friday at 3:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home. Mr. Tod Lanier will officiate. Entombment will follow at the Crown Hill Mausoleum.

Mr. Jenkins was born on February 16, 1944 in Mobile, AL to the late William Thomas and Henrietta Jenkins. He graduated from Midland City High School and moved to Albany, GA in 1977 from Grimes, AL. He was employed as a Pilot until 1992. Later, he established Lee Pub in Leesburg, GA. He was preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine Jenkins in 2017, his parents, his brother, Don Jenkins, and his sister, Sheila Horton.

Survivors include his daughters and their husbands, Darlene and Todd Butler of Albany, GA and Cassie and Joe Crocker of Watkinsville, GA, his grandchildren, Blake Butler (Brittney Horton, Landon Butler (Kristi), Sara-Ashley Lawrence (Kyle), Austin Crocker, Cole Crocker and Emma Crocker and his sisters and their husbands, Barbara and Craig Hamilton of Cottonwood, AL and Brenda Jenkins and Don Wallace of San Marcos, TX.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home.
