Virginia (Jinny) Ann Turner

Virginia A. (Jinny) Turner, 80, of Albany, GA, died Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Memorial services will be held Saturday at 11:00 AM at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Hilton Gillespie will officiate. Interment will follow at Cordray Methodist Church Cemetery.

A native of Unionville, MO, Mrs. Turner had resided in Albany, GA for the last forty five years. She was a homemaker, previously employed with Coats and Clark and retired from Harvey's Supermarkets. Mrs. Turner was a Baptist by faith and was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post # 2785 Women's Auxiliary.

Survivors include her children, Linda (Rex) Britton of Renton, WA, Randy (Vickie) Van Lith of Monticello, FL, Martina (Gregory) Young of Statenville, GA, Kevin (Linda) Van Lith of Loganville, GA, Derry (Shawn) Turner of Gray, GA, Brenda (Steve) Tritt, Tammy (Steve) Schutt all of Snohomish, WA and Kirk (Maria) Turner of Sugar Hill, GA, eighteen grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, W. D. (Bud) Turner, Jr. in February of this year and a daughter, Kathy Geiger.
