Virginia Lindsey Daniels

Virginia Lindsey Daniels, 90, of Albany, Georgia, passed away Thursday, May 4, 2023. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, May 6, 2023, at 3:00 pm at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. David Cromie will officiate. Interment will follow in Floral Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 2:00 until 3:00pm at Mathews Funeral Home.

Virginia Daniels, born May 5, 1932, a native of Randolph County GA, had resided in Albany since 1953. She retired from AT&T after 40+ years of service. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church, a faithful Sunday School teacher for many years and a supporter of Christian Missions. She was an avid reader, excellent seamstress, wonderful cook, loving mother and known to her grandchildren as Memaw.

Virginia Daniels was married to Jesse Daniels for 52 years, who preceded her in death in 2003, she was also preceded in death by her parents, Irving Lindsey and Bessie Reese Lindsey.

Virginia Daniels is survived by her son, Mark Daniels of Albany, GA, two daughters, Joy Daniels Voegtle of Albany, GA and Lisa Daniels Addison of Leesburg, GA, 13 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, three brothers, George Lindsey, Joe Lindsey, and Wilber Lindsey and one sister Isabelle Bowman.
