Virginia Bradley Bazhaw

Virginia Bradley Bazhaw, 86, of 916 9th Avenue, Albany, GA, died Friday, July 8, 2011 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Bobby Moye will officiate. Interment will follow at Leesburg Cemetery.

A native of Smuteye, AL, Mrs. Bazhaw had resided in Albany since 1954 moving from Elba, AL. She was a retired seamstress and florist and had owned and operated Jeans's Flowers. She was a member of Sunnyside Baptist Church and was preceded in death by two sons, Robert Earl Bazhaw and Bruce Ingram Bazhaw.

Survivors include her husband, Rev. I. H. (Ike) Bazhaw of Albany, GA, a daughter, Alma Bazhaw Otey of Oklahoma City, OK, five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home.
