Vaudene Moody

Vaudene Moody, 83, of Albany, GA, died April 18, 2019 at Pruitt Health-Palmyra. Memorial services will be held Monday, April 22, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Aaron McCulley will officiate.

Born in Edison, GA to the late Stafford and Lottie Bundy Williams on Feb 23, 1936, Mrs. Moody grew up in Calhoun County, GA and lived in Morgan, GA all of her adult life.

She was a school bus driver for Calhoun County Schools and was also a sales representative for Avon Products. In her later years, she served as a house parent for Albany Advocacy Resource Center. She was long time member of New Light Freewill Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Melvin Ray Moody and her grandson Billy Davidson.

Survivors include her sons, Monterey (Tammie) Moody of Leesburg, GA, and Montclair “Steve” (Karen) Moody of Harker Heights, TX, her foster daughter, Connie Carter (David) of Albany, GA, her grandchildren, Sammy (Marie) Moody of Albany, GA, Stephen (Jeri) Moody of Hinesville, GA, Robin (Clint) Russell of Killeen, TX, Theresa (Mike) Keyser of Killeen, TX, and Alex Davidson (Melissa) of Statesboro, GA, nine great grandchildren, and foster grandchildren, Kim and Chris Dixon. 

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM on Monday at Mathews Funeral Home.
