Tyler Andrew Smith

Tyler Andrew Smith, 21, of Lee Co., Ga., died Sunday, April 20, 2014 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, April 24, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Leesburg. Rev. Bobby Harrell will officiate. Interment will follow in Bertha Dozier Memorial Park Cemetery, Montezuma, GA at 3:00 p.m.

Born March 7, 1993 in Albany, GA, Tyler had resided in Lee County, and was member of First Baptist Church, Leesburg, GA. He was a graduate of Randolph Southern High School, Shellman, GA and was a student at Darton College. He played football in high school and loved being outdoors. Tyler was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a member of the Lee County 4H shotgun team. Tyler was a devoted son, brother, uncle and friend. He loved life and lived life through laughter. Tyler never met a stranger and always brought smiles into the room.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Vernon and Phoebe Smith.

Survivors include his parents, Glenn Hall Smith and Ramona Patrick Smith, Lee Co., GA, two brothers, Kyle Patrick Smith, Lake Blackshear, GA, Clay Hall Smith and his wife, Dana, Leesburg, GA, a sister, Lacey Smith Ragin and her husband, Clint, Leesburg, GA, maternal grandparents, E. M. (Bo) Patrick and Ruthel Andrews Patrick, Warwick, GA, three special people in his life, Tommy and Nancy Brumbelow, Shellman, GA and Angela Jones, Warwick, GA, a dedicated girlfriend, Danielle Farrell, Ft. Gaines, GA and a number of niece, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home, Albany, GA.
