Troy D. Ansley

Troy D. Ansley, 55, of Lee County, GA, passed away December 27, 2024 at Willson Hospice House. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 31, 2024 at 11:00 am at Mathews Funeral Home. Pastor Stacy West will officiate. Interment will follow in Leesburg Cemetery.

Troy was born in Thomasville, GA to Bennie and Virginia Ansley on February 7, 1969. He grew up in Camilla and graduated from Mitchell-Baker High School in 1987. Troy was a self-employed trucker for many years and enjoyed both salt and fresh water fishing, traveling and spending time in the Caribbean with his wife and close friends. He moved to Lee County, GA in 2000 and was a member of The First Baptist Church of Albany. Troy was preceded in death by a brother, James Dorsey Ansley and his father, Bennie Ansley.

Survivors include his wife, Lori Brooks of Lee County, GA, his mother, Virginia Ansley of Meigs, GA, two daughters, Katie Ansley of Lee County, GA and Courtney Ansley of Camilla, GA, his granddaughter, Emmaleigh Merritt, two sisters, Julie (Dave) Marquez of Moore, OK and Sabrina (Bradd) Little of Lee County, GA, a niece, Mikayla Marquez and four nephews, Dominic Marquez, Joshua Marquez, Gabriel (Jordan) Williamson and Ethan Little.

The family will receive friends and family, Tuesday from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at Mathews Funeral Home.
