Tracey P. Mathis

Tracey Pruitt Mathis, 47, of Lee Co., GA died Saturday, July 14, 2018 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 19, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Les Reed and Rev. Bryan Gerstel will officiate. Interment will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.

Born in Albany, GA, Tracey had resided in Albany, GA or Lee Co., GA all of his life. He was employed with Southeastern Freight Lines. Tracey was one of a kind who could do everything. He loved his family and was affectionately known as Junior or Pooh Bear.  He enjoyed trains, golfing, fishing, planes but his joy was spending time with his family, especially his twin brother. He never net a stranger and he treated all of his customers as one of his own. He was loyal and one of the greatest people you could ever meet and he was of the Methodist faith.

Survivors include his wife, Emily Viola Martinson, Lee Co, GA, parents, Kenny E. Mathis, Baconton, GA and Anita Cochran Mathis, Albany, GA, two brothers, Chris Mathis (Gayla), Albany, GA, Trevor Mathis (Dana), Lee Co, GA and nephews and niece, Christopher Mathis, Jessica Mathis, Harber Mathis, Spencer Mathis, Trevor Mathis, Jr. and Grant Jaime.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home.
