Tony H. Houston

Tony Harold Houston, 71, of Albany, GA, died July 22, 2023.  A graveside memorial service will be held Saturday, July 29, 2023 at 11:00 am at Riverside Cemetery. Rev. Charles Jones will officiate.

Tony was born on August 21, 1951 in Albany, GA to the late Herman and Juanita Gay Houston.  He grew up in Albany and graduated from Dougherty High School in 1970.  Tony joined the United States Navy and served during Vietnam.  He was employed with Miller Brewing Company as a machinist.  Tony liked to travel and workout when he was younger and loved his dog, Bo. 

Tony was preceded in death by grandparents, Samuel and Beatrice Gay, Ralph and Myrtle Houston, his mother, Juanita Gay Sims, father, Herman Houston, step-father, R.E. Sims, and his brother, Marty Houston.

Survivors include his wife, Lanelle Houston of Leesburg, GA, his sons, Shane Houston and Chad Houston both of Albany, GA, his grandchildren, Jadarious “J.J.” Houston, Chad “C.J.” Houston, Jr., Ja’Riyah Houston and Ja’Ziyah Houston, his siblings, Rudy Sims of Albany, GA and Pat (Tommy) Anderson of Pelham, GA, an uncle and aunt, Ralph and Ruth Gay of Albany, GA, niece, Michelle Senn of Pelham, GA, cousins, Penni and Gary Dougherty of Pensacola, FL and numerous other cousins and great-nieces and nephews.
