Tommie Ray Spraggins

Tommie Ray Spraggins, 84, of Albany, GA died Monday, December 09, 2013 at his residence. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11:00 AM at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Mark Spraggins and Rev. Carl Felts will officiate. Interment will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery with Military Honors.

A native of Dadeville, AL, born to the late Tommie J. and Deara Kate Spraggins, he graduated from Tallapoosa High School and received a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Letourneau University in Longview, TX.

Mr. Spraggins served in the United States Navy during Korea and had lived in Albany, GA since 1977 moving from Orlando, FL. He was the owner of R & S Diesel Injection for thirty one years and was a member of Friendship Baptist Church of Lee County.

Survivors include his wife of sixty four years, Juanita D. Spraggins of Albany, GA, two sons, Tim Spraggins and his wife, Sylvia of Albany, GA and Mark Spraggins and his wife, Vera of Leesburg, GA, his mother, Deara Ray Spraggins of Dadeville, AL, six grandchildren, Savannah Spraggins of Auburn, AL, Kiley Spraggins of Leesburg, GA, Alex Spraggins, Ray Spraggins, Abby Spraggins and Hannah Spraggins all of Albany, GA.

The family will receive friends from 6:30 PM until 8:30 PM Wednesday at Mathews Funeral Home.
