Thomas Wendell Grace

Thomas Wendell Grace, 74, of Lee County, GA, died June 9, 2017. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 AM at Byne Memorial Baptist Church. Dr. Kerri Reeves will officiate. Interment will follow in Leesburg Cemetery. The A & P Sunday School Class and Deacons will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.

A native of Shorterville, AL, Mr. Grace grew up in Albany and graduated from Albany High School in 1963. He owned and operated Grace Construction Company for forty two years. Mr. Grace was a member of Byne Memorial Baptist Church where he taught the A & P Sunday School Class and served as a Deacon.

Survivors include his wife, Pat Grace, a daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and John Wanner a son and daughter-in-law, Zane and Jolie Grace all of Lee County, GA, two sisters, Mary Wolfe and her husband, James of Lake Charles, LA and Deborah Bass and her husband, Winston of Lee County, GA and three grandchildren, Brice Bonner of Auburn, AL and T.Z. Grace and Blane Grace both of Lee County, GA. He was preceded in death by a brother, Pete Grace.

The family will receive friends Monday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Mathews Funeral Home.
