Thomas Franklin (Tommy) Blankenship, 64, of Albany, GA died Sunday, October 19, 2014 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at First Free Will Baptist Church. Rev. Billy D. Hannah will officiate. Interment will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.
A native and lifelong resident of Albany, GA, Mr. Blankenship was a truck driver and was last employed with Roehl Transport. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose and a member of First Free Will Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Earl Blankenship and Annie Martha Roland Blankenship and a daughter, Tiffany Ann Blankenship.
Survivors include a daughter, Danielle Blankenship Downs, Scottsdale, AZ, two sisters, Judy Bradley (Wayne), Leslie, GA, Rachel Cranford (Lee), Belle Glade, FL and a grandchildren, Shaw Downs, Scottsdale, AZ.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home.
