Theresa M. (Terry) Ciesiensky, 77, of Albany, GA, died March 26, 2017 at her residence. A funeral mass will be held Friday at 10:00 AM at St. Teresa's Catholic Church. Rev. Ray Levreault will officiate.
A native of Warsaw, Poland, Mrs. Ciesiensky was a holocaust survivor. She lived in New Jersey for many years before moving to Albany, GA in 1971. Mrs. Ciesiensky was a homemaker and was employed at Carr's Steakhouse before retiring. She was a member of St. Teresa's Catholic Church and served on the Knights of Columbus Auxillary. Mrs. Ciesiensky was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Stefania Maczulski, her brother, Walter Maczulski, one grandchild and one great-grandchild.
Survivors include her husband, Ed Ciesiensky of Albany, GA, her children, Joe (Hollie) Williams of Durham, NC, Ronnie Williams of Knoxville, TN, Tom Streysman of San Luis Obispo, CA, John (Christine) Ciesiensky of Knoxville, TN, Linda (Tim) Harris of Lakeland, FL, Susan (John) Shrader of Highland, TX, Michael (Carol Ann) Ciesiensky of Tickfaw, LA, Matthew (Geri) Ciesiensky of Crystal Springs, MS, Patricia (Charlie) Owens of Saucier, MS, and Alice (Tom) Mitchell of Mt. Juliet, TN, twenty-one grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank her special caregiver, Charlene Dodgett.
There will be a Wake service starting at 5:30 PM Thursday at Mathews Funeral Home with visitation following until 8:00 PM.
