Thelma Christine Bowen

Thelma (Ma Bo) Shiver Bowen, 93, of Albany, GA died Thursday, November 6, 2014. Graveside funeral services will be conducted Monday, November 10, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Floral Memory Gardens Cemetery. Rev. Bobby Moye will officiate.

Born in Worth Co., GA, Mrs. Bowen had resided in Albany, GA most of her life. She was a homemaker and
kept children in her home for over forty years and was known as Ma Bo. She was the oldest living charter member of Westview Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, E.C. Bowen, a son, Mark Bowen, four brothers, Julian Shiver, Weldon Shiver, Earnie Shiver, Loren Shiver, two sisters, Lucille Shiver Oliver and her twin sister, Thelma Shiver Hall.

Survivors include a daughter, Marilyn Emily Bowen and a son, Neill Bowen both of Albany, GA, three grandchildren, Amber Bowen Dyson, Albany, GA, Tandre Holland Moody, Altamonte Springs, FL and Vince Holland, Columbia, SC, three great-grandchildren, Jay Bowen and Allei Dyson both of Albany, GA and Cadence Moody, Altamonte Springs, FL and a sister-in-law, Merle Shiver, Sylvester, GA and a number of nieces and nephews.
