Talmadge Jack Winstead

Talmadge Jack Winstead, 74, of Lee County, GA, died July 7, 2014 at his residence. Memorial services will be held Thursday at 3:00 PM at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Tom Newman will officiate.

A native of Brandon, MS, Mr. Winstead graduated from Puckett High School in 1958 and served in the Mississippi National Guard. He moved to Lee County, GA in 1973 from Birmingham, AL and was employed with Robertson Optical as a Lab Supervisor until his retirement in 2002. Mr. Winstead was a member of The Loyal Order of the Moose.

Survivors include his wife, Phyllis C. Winstead of Lee County, GA, a daughter and her husband, Donna and Douglas Jones of Decatur, GA, a brother and his wife, Howard and Coleen Winstead of Brandon, MS, a sister, Erma Harrell of Puckett, MS and two grandchildren, Lindsey Jones of Ft. Hood, TX and Mark Jones of Orlando, FL.

The family will receive friends following the service at Mathews Funeral Home.
