Talmadge Dewitt “Buddy” Jarrell, II, 79, of Warwick, GA, died February 29, 2024 at his residence. A graveside entombment service will be held Sunday, March 3, 2024 at 3:00 pm at The Butler Memorial Cemetery. Rev. Justin Kirksey will officiate.
Buddy was born in Americus, GA on November 25, 1944 to Woodrow Wilson Jarrell, Sr and Virginia Brooks Jarrell. He grew up in Perry and Butler, graduated from Butler High School in 1962 and attended Auburn University. During his career, Buddy was employed with Swearingen Gin Company, constructed cotton gins in Cambodia, managed Miami Valley Fruit Farm and retired from McCay Gin and Warehouse Company
Buddy moved from Albany to Warwick in 1996. He was a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing and golfing at Reynolds Golf Course and Cedar Creek Golf and Country Club. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia E. “Pat” Jarrell.
Survivors include his children, Julie Cox of Bishop, GA, Jolie (Chad) Ledger of Leslie, GA, Greg (Teri) Perry of Albany, GA, Alan (Kaylee) Perry of Prescott, AZ and Michelle (Wayne) Dickerson of Buford, GA, a sister-in-law, Sandra Jarrell of Raleigh, NC and his grandchildren, Russell Cox and Kristen Cox both of Bishop, GA, Chase Ledger and Cade Ledger both of Leslie, GA, Ian Dickerson of Buford, GA, Emily Perry of Atlanta, GA and Madison Perry of Athens, GA.
The family will receive friends following the service at Butler Memorial Cemetery.
