Susan Elaine Reed

Susan Elaine Reed, 72, of Albany, GA., died Thursday December 15, 2016 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Bobby Skyrme will officiate. A private interment will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery.

Born in Benton, IL, Susan was a retired consultant with Northrop Grumman at the Pentagon. She was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her parents, James L. and Ethel Phillips Reed and sisters Barbara Patsy Rosales and Marsha Nelson.

Survivors include four nephews, Sean Heffernan, of Leesburg, GA, Reed Heffernan of Albany, GA, Drake Nelson, Jimmy Nelson, two nieces, Barbara Jane Nelson, all of Arizona, Katie Radlick of Sacramento, CA, a brother, Robert Reed, of Chicago, IL, and a sister, Margie Hagan, of Sacramento, CA.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home and after the services at the home of Reed Heffernan.
