Susan Elaine McConnell, 55, of Albany, GA, died Saturday, March 23, 2013, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, March 28, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Chris Turner will officiate. Interment will follow in Leesburg Cemetery.

Born in Albany, GA, Mrs. McConnell had resided in Albany, GA most all of her life. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist Faith. She was preceded in death by her father, Felton Lee Calhoun and a brother, David Eugene Calhoun.

Survivors include her husband, Charlie L. (Jr.) McConnell, Jr., Albany, GA, two sons, Tommy Kendrick (Valerie Smith), Worth Co., GA, Horace Kendrick (Jessica Bishop), Albany, GA, a daughter, Susan Nicole Kendrick (Wayne Hancock), Worth Co., GA, mother, Louise Smith Calhoun, Lee Co., GA, three brothers, Buddy Calhoun, Worth Co., GA, Bobby Calhoun, Lee Co., GA, Danny Calhoun, Lee Co., GA, a sister, Vickie White, Dougherty Co., GA, five grandchildren, Bailey Brown, Abby Bishop, Caleb Akridge, Haley Smith and J. R. Smith.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home.
