Susan Kay Hardee, 56, of Lee County, GA, died January 21, 2017 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. A memorial service will be held Tuesday at 11:00 AM at Christ United Methodist Church. Rev. Jeff Cook will officiate.
A native of Troy, MO, Susan grew up there and graduated from Buchannan High School in 1978 and received her Bachelor Degree from Culver-Stockton College in 1978. She served in the United States Army and moved to Albany, GA in 1994 from Baumholder, Germany. She was employed with Jim's Piano and graduated from the William Steinway University in 2004. Susan was a gifted pianist, loved horses and was a member of Christ United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Robert D. Hardee and her mother and step-father, Barbara and William Haupt all of Lee County, GA, two daughters, Adina East and Stephanie (Jason) Carpenter all of Lee's Summit, MO, two step-sons, Robert A. (Brandy) Hardee of Phenix City, AL and Patrick T. Hardee of Columbus, GA, three grandchildren, Trinity East, Avery Cambron and Gwen Carpenter, two step-grandchildren, Brandon Hardee and Samantha Hardee, and a step-brother, William Haupt, Jr..
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral at Christ United Methodist Church.
