Susan Ann Powell

Susan Ann Powell, 67, of Albany, GA, surrounded by her daughters died peacefully on Thursday, November 28, 2024 at Willson Hospice House. A memorial service will be held at Porterfield Methodist Church on Friday, December 20, 2024 at 11: 00 am. Reverend Chuck Knight will officiate.

Susan was born in Atlanta, GA on December 23, 1956 to Joe and Ann Powell. She was raised in Albany, GA and graduated from Westover High School. She continued her education at Georgia Baptist School of Nursing. Susan was employed as a Registered Nurse with Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital where she worked in labor and delivery. Her interests included participating in multiple triathlons and figure competitions. Susan was a lifelong member of Porterfield Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Sabrina Powell.

Survivors include her daughters, Laura Leggette, Catherine (Jamie) Ferrante and Rebecca Leggette all of Atlanta, GA, a brother and his wife, Bobby and Valerie Powell of Albany, GA, her grandchildren Zachary, Aaron, and Ronan Ferrante, and a nephew, Andrew Powell of Toledo, OH.

The family will receive friends one hour before the service in the Parlor of Porterfield Methodist Church.
