Stoy Franklin Robinson

Stoy F. (Rob) Robinson, 79, of Albany, GA, died Friday, February 2, 2018 at his son’s residence.  Funeral services will be held Monday at 2:00 PM at Mathews Funeral Home.  Rev. Charles Jones will officiate.  Interment will follow in Floral Memory Gardens Cemetery.

 A native of the Charlesborough Community in South Carolina born to the late Walter and Nancy Robinson, he graduated from Flat Creek High School and joined the United States Navy at 17 years old.  Mr. Robinson served in the Cuban Missile Crisis, Vietnam and the Lebanon Crisis.  He, his late wife, Barbara Robinson and their children moved to Albany, GA in 1974 and he was employed with Clarklift of Albany for eighteen years.  He was a Baptist by faith and a member of VFW Post #2785 and American Legion Post #30.

 Survivors include his son and his wife, John and Jan Eudy of Lee County, GA and a daughter and her husband, Debbie and Charles Smith of Cayce, SC, four grandsons, seven granddaughters, three great-granddaughters and a sister, Carol Clark of Paigeland, SC.

 The family will receive friends Monday one hour prior to the service at Mathews Funeral Home.
