Steve E. McGowan

Steve E. McGowan, 50, of Albany, GA., died June 16, 2017 at his residence. Funeral services will be held Monday at 2:00 PM at Mathews Funeral Home. Pastor Ken Bevel will officiate. Interment will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.

A native of Bessemer, AL, Steve grew up in Albany, GA.,and attended Albany High School and attended Albany Vocational College. He was self-employed and was the owner of ABC Bail Bonds. Steve had previously worked a number of years with Overnight Transportation and UPS. Steve was a Master Mason and member of Dougherty Lodge # 591 F & AM. He was a Purple Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and competed in Brazil and trained at Blacksheep MMA.

Survivors include his wife, Donna A. McGowan of Albany, GA., a brother and his wife, John and Shellie McGowan of Cadillac, MI., along with three nephews, a sister and her husband, Connie and Jon Csincsak of Daphne, AL., along with two nieces and three nephews, and nephew James Sanford and his wife, Antoinette of Jacksonville, FL.

He also leaves behind, special to Steve's heart, his "boys", Toro and Tequila.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM until 2:00 PM Monday at Mathews Funeral Home before the service.
