Shirley Hubbard Chance

Shirley Hubbard Chance, 82, of Albany, GA, died August 30, 2017 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Graveside services will be held Saturday, September 2, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at New Park Cemetery in Fort Gaines, GA. Rev. Michael Williams will officiate.

Born in Calhoun County, GA., Mrs. Chance had resided in Albany since 1996 moving from Bluffton where she was a member of Bluffton Baptist Church. She was a business manager with the Clay County Board of Education. After moving to Albany Mrs. Chance moved her membership to Raleigh White Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her sister, Helen Veatch and a grandson, Lucas Chance Johnston

Survivors include her husband, Raymond Chance of Albany, GA., her children Ed Chance (Stacey) and Luan Chance Nicholson (Nikk) all of Albany, GA., her brother Albert Hubbard (Gloria) of Bluffton, GA., a sister, Billie Ann Bruner of Bluffton, GA., six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Friday September 1, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home.
