Sherry Hail Bennington, 65, of Albany, GA, died December 22, 2017 at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 11: 00 am Thursday, December 28, 2017 at Mathews Funeral Home. Pastor Lyle Wood will officiate. Interment will follow in Andersonville National Cemetery.
A native of Meade, KS, born to Ruby Hail and the late Lonzo Hail, Sherry moved around until finally settling in Smyrna, GA. Then in 1980 she was introduced to her husband of 38 years. Together they formed a family of two beautiful daughters. Sherry supported her husband’s career in the Marine Corps heading up the family during his overseas deployments. Sherry's interests in life were God, family, quilting, riding her motorcycle, and participating in events with the Albany Corvette Club. In her short 65 years she formed amazing relationships with many people.
Survivors include her husband, Roy Bennington of Albany, GA, her children, Amy Michelle Kline and her husband, Bryan of Guyton, GA, and Chasity Faith Bennington of Albany, GA, her grandchildren, Kyler Kline, Garrison Kline, Stockton Riley and Greyson Riley, her mother Ruby Hail of Talihina, OK, and her two brothers, Norman Hail and his wife Eve of Kennesaw, GA and Gary Hail and his wife Vickie of Talihina, OK.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Mathews Funeral Home.
