Shelby Jean Watson, 77, of Lee County, died Thursday, July 11, 2013 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.
A memorial was held Monday, 1:20 PM at Gillionville Baptist Church.
Shelby was born in High Point NC. She moved to Sumner, GA in 1976. After being hired to work at Water, Gas, and Light in Albany, she moved to Albany. After retirement, she moved to Lee County, were she resided at her death.
She is survived by two sons, Robin Watson of Richland, WA and Ronnie Watson of Spanish Fort, AL. Her beloved daughter Kathy of St. Peters, MO preceded her in death. She had seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Shelby was a long time active member of Gillionville Forrest Baptist Church. Serving God and helping others was her passion. She also contributed to several charities and children’s homes.
